Last June Susan Andreesen had a problem. Her bosses wanted to create a networking event to recruit new talent to the company. New to her job as public relations director for a large corporate company in Indianapolis, things weren’t going well. The venue she chose had mistakenly setup too many tables and chairs, making the room seem empty. Catering had cooked too little food. A literal storm thundered overhead her metaphorical storm.
Despite all that, the room was warm and energized. People were meeting each other and conversing. Susan realized, “Everyone was having a really great time. And I owe it all to Cocktail Sax.”
That evening Cocktail Sax filled the room with warm, inviting, energetic but never loud jazz music. The room felt smaller and more intimate. A live performance with sultry saxophone notes, keyboards, bass, and drums created an elegant and tasteful touch of music that saved the event.
How to get started with your company’s reception planning
- Get in touch with Cocktail Sax to see if your event date is available. In most instances with notice, we can accommodate everyone.
- Check out our song list and see what, if any, songs you do or don’t want to hear.
- We’ll ask about your budget and how long you need a performance, where you’re located, and what kind of audience is expected. This helps us determine an accurate cost and how we should look and play.
